10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter

On this 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter, we will visit the five most popular Tanzanian destinations during this tour: Lake Manyara National Park (1 night), Central Serengeti (2 nights), North Serengeti (3 nights), Ngorongoro Crater (1 night), and Tarangire National Park. The tour begins and ends in Arusha. It will be a trip of a lifetime with our experienced driver guides!

According to previous years’ patterns, the migration can be seen in the North Serengeti region from July to October. As a result, this tour is only recommended for the months of July and October.

10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter Itinerary

Day 1 – Pick up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara

At the start of your 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter, you will be picked up from your Arusha hotel at 8:30 a.m. and depart for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees set the tone for what’s to come. The game drive will last until the evening, with a brief stop for a picnic lunch. While on the game drive, keep an eye out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys.

10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounterThe tree climbing lions are another attraction of Lake Manyara National Park, but finding them is a game of chance. During the right season, the shoreline turns pink as millions of flamingos flock there. Following the game drive, you will return to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 2 - Lake Manyara to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, we depart for the Serengeti National Park, passing through the stunning high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the Serengeti National Park, the heart of wild Africa, with its endless plains stretching into the distance as far as the eye can see. We travel to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, which features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and thus attracts wildlife representative of the majority of Serengeti species. We arrive in time for lunch and take a game drive in the Serengeti National Park in the afternoon.

Day 3 - Central Serengeti to North Serengeti

On day 3 of your 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter, you can either have a leisurely breakfast or leave for game drives around 9:00 a.m. with a packed lunch, or you can leave at 6:00 a.m. for an early morning game drive. Return to your accommodation for breakfast before departing for the North Serengeti with a packed lunch. Today you will explore the Serengeti National Park’s central region before moving to the park’s northern region. The enroute game drive to the Kogatende region will provide mild action from local game. As you approach the northern Serengeti, you will notice that the terrain changes from flat grassland to a more hilly and broken terrain.

10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounterThe northern region is home to a variety of resident wildlife, including zebras, topis, gazelles, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. A picnic lunch will be prepared during the day’s drive. Depending on your arrival time, you will be able to spend a few hours by the Mara River. The eventful day concludes with a hearty dinner and a good night’s sleep in your lodging.

Day 4 & Day 5 - North Serengeti

You will have a leisurely breakfast and later depart for full-day game drives around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge around 6:00 PM. alternatively, you can go on an early morning game drive at 6:00 a.m. Later, return to your accommodation for breakfast and some relaxation before departing on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. The migration can be found in this region from mid-June to September. The Mara River in this region offers the most dramatic river crossing of the great migration from mid-June to September. The river, which is fierce, deep, and heavily rain-fed, takes a heavy toll on migrating wildebeest.

10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounterIt’s an unforgettable sight to see the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, with some drowning and others falling prey to lurking crocodiles. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to witness this natural wonder and observe nature at work. If you follow the Great Migration, you might end up in the Lobo Valley. The pristine lobo valley is dotted with forests, plains, hills, and the world-famous granite Kopjes. It has an abundance of big cat game, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

During the dry season, the valley’s permanent water sources attract a large number of resident and migratory animals, making for excellent game viewing. During the full-day game drive, you will be able to stop for a picnic lunch. The day concludes with a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep in your preferred lodging.

Day 6 - North Serengeti to Central Serengeti

On this day of your 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter, you can have a leisurely breakfast and leave for game drives around 9:00 a.m. with a packed lunch, or you can leave at 6:00 a.m. for an early morning game drive. Later, return to your accommodation for breakfast and some relaxation before departing for the Central Serengeti with a packed lunch. The four-hour drive to the center will provide some mild enroute action. The road south from the Mara river valley passes through hill country, the Lobo area, wooded areas, and then back into Seronera terrain. The Serengeti’s central region, known as the Seronera area, is one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. It includes the Seronera River, which serves as a vital water source for the area.

As you travel deeper into the Seronera region, the hilly and broken terrain will give way to plain grasslands. In Seronera, keep an eye out for the many lion prides that thrive in this area. All year, the interactions and survival of these lion prides provide an excellent game viewing experience. A picnic lunch will be prepared during the day’s drive. The eventful day concludes with a hearty dinner and a good night’s sleep in your lodging.

Day 7 - Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro

You will go on a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park after breakfast. Later, take a picnic lunch to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest collapsed volcanic crater and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. The Ngorongoro Crater is ringed by extinct volcanoes, and the floor, dotted with watering holes, is home to approximately 30,000 animals. The eventful day concludes with a hearty dinner and a good night’s sleep in your lodging.

Day 8 - Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Tarangire

After an early breakfast, depart for a game drive on the crater floor (5 hours). Lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and numerous birds can be expected. Birds seen here include the Crater Lake eagle, vulture, and flamingos, as well as the stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron, and cattle eagle. Following your picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the crater’s top exit.

Kazinga ChannelThe day will come to an end with a 2-hour drive to your Karatu accommodation. A delicious dinner is prepared fresh for you at your chosen lodging. All of these safari days will leave you exhausted, and a good rest is essential. The following day, you will begin the final leg of your safari.

Day 9: Full Day in Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast, your day will begin around 8 a.m., with a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park ahead of you. The national park is well-known and unique for its diverse landscape and nine distinct vegetation zones. As you begin your game drive, you will be greeted by the ancient and massive Baobab trees, which dwarf even the giraffe. The game drive lasts until late afternoon, with a brief stop for a picnic lunch. The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, gives the park its name.

The river attracts a wide variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and zebras. If you’re lucky, you might see the tree climbing python and the long-necked Gerek. Tarangire National Park has the highest concentration of elephants, providing a rare opportunity to observe interactions between elephant families. Don’t forget to capture this stunning scenery with your camera. Following the game drive, you will return to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner. Get a good night’s sleep in preparation for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 10: Tarangire, and transfer back to Arusha for Departure.

The final day of your 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter will begin at 8:00 a.m., following a delectable breakfast. Today’s destination is Arusha from Tarangire National Park, where you will go on a half-day game drive. Tanzania’s third largest national park is famous for its majestic baobab trees which tower over the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the focal point of this park, which is known for having some of Africa’s largest elephant herds.

Lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra may be seen here. By mid-afternoon, you’ll split up and head to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 p.m. This is the time to say goodbye to your team after an incredible experience and a lifetime of memories. This will mark the end of your 10 Days Tanzania Wildlife encounter.
