Pakuba Safari Lodge
The greatest mid-range choice in Murchison Falls is Pakuba Safari Lodge. The lodges along the Albert Nile in the northwest provide the most affordable alternatives. Pakuba has the nicest location of them. The three-star suburban resort is located on the Albert Nile’s east bank.
The lodge is a new manifestation of the former state lodge visited by Idi Amin, whose remains may still be seen. Pakuba lies close to the Tangi Gate of the Murchison Falls National Park. After a busy day at the Park, you may cool down in the lodge’s outdoor pool or drink your favorite beverage at the well-equipped bar. You may want to sit at your window and enjoy the gorgeous views of the forest. Guests who are lucky enough may spot a warthog or perhaps a giraffe from the resort.
Paraa Safari Lodge.
The most popular lodges are located in the Park’s central Paraa region, where the Victoria Nile meets Lake Albert. The Paraa Safari Lodge is a huge hotel with 54 rooms located on the Nile’s north bank. Each room features an en suite bathroom, a wide window, and a private terrace with views of the Nile. Guests may enjoy free parking, Wi-Fi, and a complimentary breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant.
The décor of the lodge, which was rebuilt in 1997 from the shell of the old 1959 lodge, is inspired by a previous age of Nile exploration. Baker’s Lodge
Baker’s Lodge is a popular luxury accommodation choice in Murchison. The Nile’s south bank is seeing an increase in the number of modest, high-quality choices. The lodge, named for English explorer Samuel Baker, offers luxurious but traditional African accommodations and direct river access.
The apartments are generously scaled, a delightful blend of canvas and thatch constructed from a shared dining area, and opened in 2015. The lodge boasts breathtaking views of the Nile in addition to complimentary parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast. You may also order a fantastic bush breakfast if you want to try the native cuisine. You can expect to see a diverse array of animal and bird life along the Nile’s edge. Hippos and elephants are frequent VIP visitors on the lodge’s grounds.
Budongo Eco Lodge
Further south, accommodation is available along the main road that connects Masindi and Paraa. While these lodges do not have Nile frontage, they provide excellent access to the Budongo forests, home to a diverse range of birdlife and over 600 chimps. The most popular site to stay is the Budongo Ecolodge, which is located 8 kilometers north of the Kichumbanyabo Gate.
Originally the Jane Goodall Institute’s research station, it has been restored to give a pleasant and comfortable base for forest exploration. The lodge is small and cozy, with five cozy cottages and four huge dormitory rooms for larger parties. Its on-site visitor center is quite educational about the surrounding area and displays old fossils. The artisan store inside the resort sells handcrafted souvenirs to recall your visit.
Twiga Safari Lodge
A one-of-a-kind alternative for travelers looking for a one-of-a-kind form of lodging. Twiga Safari Lodge, located just up the hill from Baker’s Lodge, offers a modern approach on a tented camp, blending canvas with sturdy architecture. Twiga’s mid-range lodging is a mix of Safari camping tents and thatched African homes. Its eight private cottages are located on the Nile’s bank in Mubaako Paraa, directly across from the Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge’s grounds are regularly visited by monkeys, birds, and even hippos. The lodge features its own restaurant, bar, and gift store, as well as free high-speed Wi-Fi and parking.
Murchison River Lodge.
Murchison River Retreat, located on the Nile’s south bank, is a family-run retreat with panoramic views of the Nile and Murchison Falls National Park. Chris and Georgie, a couple who wished to provide great lodging for all travelers, regardless of their budget, founded the lodge. Because hippos frequently wander into the grounds at night, the staff provides excellent service, including an evening escort from the restaurant to your accommodation. Murchison River Lodge takes pride in its environmental stewardship and operates fully on solar power. The lodge also strives to strengthen its local community, and the on-site restaurant mostly employs food produced locally.

Nile Safari Lodge
Nile Safari Lodge, located on the Nile’s south bank, is an eco-friendly, family-owned lodge that debuted in 2017. The lodge has a distinct appearance. The accommodation is meant to blur the lines between inside and outside, blending in with its spectacular natural surroundings. The lodge was mostly constructed by skilled local artisans using natural materials.
Sloping roofs and walls are supported by eucalyptus poles and flow in smooth lines to the ground. There are a total of eight bandas to select from, with six of the Deluxe Bandas accommodating up to three guests. The Family Banda features two bedrooms, each with a mezzanine that sleeps up to eight people, as well as a private pool. Water is drawn from the Nile and treated to drinkable standards using a UV filtering system. Private fridges are solar-powered, making the lodge ideal for environmentally conscious travelers.

Fort Murchison Safari Lodge is located in the Aswa Lolim wildlife reserve, just outside the northern borders of Murchison Falls National Park. The view of the Albert Nile from its premises is magnificent, and you can also take in the rich foliage of Murchison Falls National Park. The vista of the Nile captures the true essence of an African safari experience.
Fort Murchison has a range of comfortable accommodations to meet budgets ranging from mid to low. Whether staying in one of our lovely rooms or in one of our comfy thatched tents, a fantastic value for money is ensured. Fort Murchison has 12 en-suite flats, each having a big bedroom with comfy mattresses, a bathroom with countersunk sinks, and showers with lots of hot water provided by solar heaters. Every room has a writing desk and a private balcony with a sofa. The ambiance is a blend of African elegance and Swahili culture.
Fort Murchison also has non-self-contained tents in addition to the main lodging. These are well-equipped with two single beds with mosquito nets, a bedside table, and a power outlet for charging your electronic devices. All tents are set up beneath a grass thatched roof, creating your own private terrace and providing welcome shade. A common ablution building with showers and flushing toilets is shared by the tents. There is no need to bring linen because all bedding and towels are provided.
Amuka Safari Lodge
Amuka Lodge, set in a virgin woods forest in the middle of the world-renowned Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, allows you to view Africa as it was meant to be seen. Amuka Lodge offers unforgettable interactions with Uganda’s lone wild rhinoceros, as well as a diverse array of birds and fauna. The Deluxe Safari Cabins are surrounded by bushes and are well situated to give you with a wonderful view of the African sunset and River Nile. The Deluxe Safari Cabins have an open-plan private en-suite bathroom with his-and-her sinks, a river view bath, an enclosed toilet, and a walk-in rain shower. These cabins have either double or two single beds, as well as a striking combination of furnishings and styles. After a long day of safari driving, guests have their own private deck where they can relax in luxurious lounger seats. The Single Safari Cabin is meant to provide you with your own little paradise; it is both close to and a little secluded from the communal areas, allowing you complete seclusion but not lonesomeness. It has a private timber decked terrace with comfy loungers where you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the tropical sun rays reflecting off the shimmering surface of the mighty Nile. There is a wash basin, an enclosed toilet, and a bathtub in the bathroom.
Parkside Safari Lodge
Parkside safari lodge is a budget lodging facility located on the banks of the Albert Nile on the northern border of Murchison Falls National Park, roughly 2 kilometers from Tangi gate outside the park. Parkside Safari Lodge is a handy and economical base that provides tourists with a beautiful view of the Albert Nile, animals visiting, and nearby surroundings. Parkside Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park has 11 large and pleasant rooms that represent African traditional architecture style with grass thatched roofs and modern comfort. The rooms are tastefully constructed and equipped, with private en-suite facilities such as flushing toilets, hot and cold showers/bathtubs, flat-screen TVs, satellite, solar energy, chairs, tables, driers, mosquito nets, and many more.
Rooms offer their own wooden balconies, verandas, and sitting spaces where you can unwind while admiring the spectacular views of the Albert Nile. The rooms are well-equipped, with clean and laundered bedding and wooden ceiling fans. The lodge has bonfires that offer tourists warmth on cold evenings. Single, double, twin, and triple/family rooms are available, and accommodations cost $150 per night.
