Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, your English-speaking tour guide will warmly welcome you to Uganda, known as the Pearl of Africa. You’ll then be transferred to your pre-booked hotel, Via Via Entebbe, which is conveniently located just a 20-minute drive away from the airport. Enjoy a delicious dinner upon arrival and settle in for a restful night.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast at the hotel, Go on a scenic roadtrip to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Along the way, you’ll traverse approximately 7 hours through picturesque landscapes, passing villages and lush green countryside. Upon arrival, participate in an exhilarating hour-long rhino tracking experience, immersing yourself in the conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures. Following the adventure, enjoy a lunch stop in Masindi before continuing your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Check into Ikorom Safari Lodge, where you’ll spend the night, and savor a hearty dinner.

Distance: Approx. 7 hours drive (excluding time spent at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary)

Day 3: Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

Rise early for a full day of game viewing in Murchison Falls NP. After breakfast, go on morning and afternoon game drives, exploring the vast Savannah grasslands in search of diverse wildlife species, including buffalos, elephants, lions, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the park’s stunning scenery. Optional activities such as a boat trip upstream towards the falls are available for an additional cost. Return to Fort Murchison Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest NP

Following breakfast, journey to the top of the breathtaking Murchison Falls,  enjoy the  beauty of the falls waters. Then, Transfer to the edge of Kibale Forest National Park, a journey of approximately 7 hours. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes dotted with tea plantations along the way. Upon arrival, check into Chimpanzee Forest Lodge and unwind from the day’s travels. Optional activities such as a crater lakes excursion are available. Enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: To Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, explore the Bigodi wetlands, home to a diverse array of primates and bird species. Alternatively, opt for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest (additional cost). Later, experience a 2-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll spend the night at Irungu Forest Safari Lodge. Enjoy a game drive upon arrival, spotting wildlife such as lions, elephants, and buffalos. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Distance: Approx. 2-3 hours drive

Day 6: Safari in queen Elizabeth and Boat tour on Kazinga channel

Start your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a scenic boat trip along the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. Keep your camera ready to capture sightings of hippos, elephants, and various bird species. After the boat trip, choose to relax at the lodge or enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Dinner will be served at Irungu Forest Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha for tree climbing lions

Enjoy a healthy breakfast before departing for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Spend the morning searching for these elusive predators before continuing your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a drive of approximately 5-6 hours. Upon arrival, check into Ride 4 a Woman and unwind. Dinner will be served at the lodge. Optional cultural encounters are available for an additional cost.

Distance: Approx. 5-6 hours drive

Day 8: Nature walk in Bwindi

After breakfast, embark on a forest walk along the waterfall trail in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, encountering diverse flora and fauna along the way. Then, transfer to the Ruhija sector of Bwindi for gorilla trekking tomorrow. Relax in the Bweza lodge

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Enjoy breakfast before heading to the ranger’s post for a briefing on gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest. Enter the forest for an unforgettable encounter with mountain gorillas. Return to Bweza lodge for relaxation.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Begin the day with breakfast before driving to Lake Bunyonyi. Experience a canoe trek on the lake, exploring its scenic islands. Return to Itambira Island for relaxation.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

Have breakfast and journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Check-in at Eagles’ Nest and enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting wildlife like buffaloes, zebras, and leopards. Optional night game drive available at an extra cost.

Day 12: Walking Safari and Drive to Entebbe airport

Start the day with a morning walking safari in Lake Mburo NP, encountering various animals up close. Afterward, return for breakfast and checkout. Drive to Entebbe International Airport for departure, concluding the tour.
