Day 1: Arrival and drive to Akagera national park, a Community tour
Depending on your location, you will be picked up by your driver guide on the first day of your safari, who will brief you on the safari before taking you to Akagera National Park.
When you arrive at the park, you will check into your lodge before heading out to explore the surrounding communities near Akagera National Park. You will have the opportunity to visit some craft stalls in the community and purchase some souvenirs to support the local community, in addition to seeing performances by the local dance troupe and interacting with the friendly locals.
Following your visit to the community. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Rhino tracking and afternoon boat cruise
Wake up on the second day of your safari to breakfast at the lodge before meeting your driver guide who will drive you to Akagera National Park for Rhino tracking experiences.
Return to the lodge for lunch after your Rhino tracking adventure. After lunch, you will embark on an exciting boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will see a variety of bird species and wildlife. After that, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drives in Akagera National Park
On the third day of your safari, serve breakfast and bring a packed lunch before meeting your driver guide for a full day game drive experience in Akagera National Park. During the morning game drive, you can see elephants, rhinoceroses, and a variety of other attractions at the park, giving you a clear view of the early risers.
When you go on a game drive in the evening, you will be able to see many carnivores hunting for their prey and a number of herbivores returning to their hiding places up close. Return to the lodge for relaxation while preparing for dinner and staying overnight after the game drive.
Day 4: Walk the line tour
On the fourth day of your safari, wake up and be served breakfast before meeting your safari guide who will take you on the walk the line tour.
The walk the line safari is one of the most rewarding safari experiences you will ever have in Akagera Park. It will be facilitated by the park guide, who will lead you on a walk to the top of a hill from which you will have a fascinating view of the park in all directions while observing the various types of animals in the park such as herbivores, carnivores, and many others. Dinner and overnight stay at previous lodge.

Day 5: Hot air Balloon and Departure
This is the final day of 5 Days Akagera National Park Rwanda tour. You will wake up in the morning and be served breakfast at the lodge before meeting your driver guide who will take you to Akagera National Park for the hot air balloon experience. As you approach the take-off area in the park’s Kayitaba area, you will be greeted by park staff who will walk you through a briefing session while you watch the hot air balloon being prepared.
When you are invited into the basket, the hot air balloon flight will begin. As you fly through the park, you will have exceptional views of the various herds of animals, unique water sources, and the ability to take photographs for an incredible time before being awarded with the certificate. After your experience, you will be picked up by your driver/guide and driven back to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at a hotel of your choice or at Kigali International Airport if you have a flight back home.
