5 Days Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transportation to Murchison Falls
When you arrive at the airport, your guide will meet you and brief you on the safari before driving you to Murchison Falls National Park.
Depending on the time of arrival, if you arrived early enough, on your way to the park, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, which is home to endangered rhinos. You will have 2 hours to trek rhinos before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. You will also stop for relaxation and food in Masindi town. Then proceed to the park.
When you arrive in the afternoon, after that incredible road trip, check into your lodge, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and Nile River boat ride
Early in the morning, you will be served breakfast at your lodge, after which you will meet your guide and go on a game drive in search of wildlife animals. During your game drive, you will see buffalo, waterbucks, lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, Jackson’s heart beasts, oribis, warthogs, and other animal species at the delta.
Later, return to the lodge for lunch and rest before preparing for an afternoon boat ride. Your guide will take you to the landing site after lunch to begin your boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Various animal species such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes can be seen at the water’s edge during the boat ride. After that, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, check out and meet your safari guide, who will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the country’s south-west. You will stop for lunch in Fort Portal town along the way. After embarking on your journey to the park, you will see a variety of wildlife on your way to the lodge, including antelopes, elephants, and other wildlife. Enter the park and make your way to the lodge. Where you will eat dinner and spend the night.
Day 4: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise
After your early morning breakfast, meet your guide and depart for your game drive. During your tour, you will see wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel. Following the boat ride Proceed to the lodge and relax at your leisure before having dinner and staying overnight.
Day 5: Departure
After a hearty breakfast, take a brief drive through the game trails on your way back to Kampala. En route, we stop in Mbarara for lunch and briefly at the Equator. Continue to Kampala, where your guide will drop you off at the airport for your return flight home.
