Safari Overview
The Northern Eastern and Nothern Western parts of Uganda are brimming with adventure, from cultural encounters with the fascinating tribes of Karamoja. Combined with wildlife safaris in the remote and less visited Kidepo Valley National Park, Water falls and the magnificent Murchison Falls National Park. One of the highlights will be an intimate meeting with the People of Uganda and the wildlife This program will offer you an incredible off-the-beaten-track experience of Uganda.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
- Pick-up from Entebbeairport
- The journey shall begin with an optional rhino trekking ( add 50$ per person ) before proceeding to one of the oldest conservation areas in the country: Murchison Falls National Park
- The drive to Northern Uganda is quiet long (around 6 hours) but rewarding, with ever-changing landscapes, busy roadside markets and quiet rural villages.
- Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s best-known and biggest nature reserve. Its most memorable feature is the Victoria Nile which cuts through the park, running along a series of rapids before shooting out of a narrow crack in an incredibly powerful waterfall.

Day 2 & 3: Morning Games Drive & a Boat Tour
- Private game drive; tailored towards specific birdlife and/or wildlife interests
- Murchison Falls National Park is especially known for its massive elephant population, wide array of bird species and big herds of buffalo. Giraffes, lions, antelope and waterbucks can also be spotted here and if you search the trees carefully, you may even spot one of the elusive leopards.
- The afternoon boat safari towards Murchison Falls is a special highlight of the day. On this 3-hour journey upstream on the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls you will pass by breathtaking scenery, as well as many crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and other animals that come down to the Nile for a cool drink in the hot of the day.

Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley NP
- The drive to Kidepo Valley NP is long but one of the most beautiful drives you can make in this country (around 7 hours).
- The landscapes are rugged and there are kopps (rocks), local villages and manyattas everywhere. Upon arrival in Kidepo Valley NP you will find yourself in a landscape reminiscent of the Lion King films. When you see Simba lying on a rock, the picture is complete!
- If time allows, you will go for an afternoon game drive

Day 5 & 6: Morning Game drives and Optional nature walk
- These next days are dedicated to plenty of safari spectacle in the Kidepo Valley National Park. You will take a jeep safari in the morning and also a safari in the afternoon. In between both safaris you can enjoy your lunch and a moment of rest at your beautiful accommodation.
- You can also choose to replace the afternoon safari with an optional walking safari with an armed ranger (extra 50$ per person ).

Day 7: Transfer to Moroto
- After breakfast you will go more off road to Northeast Uganda, completely off the beaten track, the adventure begins in Karamoja.
- The Karamojong Warriors live and die for their cattle they believed that their God, Akuj had given them all the cattle in their known world around them which led them to believe that the cattle of neighboring tribes w
- The inhabitants of this vast and completely undiscovered region are the Karamojong, a tribe affiliated with the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania. Far away from tourism, this is a jewel that fully fits the philosophy of Laba Africa. Discovering new areas and cultures in a sustainable way, with the proceeds benefiting the local population in Africa.

Day 8: Optional activities arround Moroto
- Mt Moroto Hike: You will also encounter several manyattas from the Tepeth tribe. The 10 km trail starts directly from Moroto and goes up the mountain via a steep path. The walk is classified as moderate with quite sliperly rocks
- In the Manyata: , you might see karamajongs busy milking the animals, grinding sorgum, shaking yogurt, brewing local beers and building huts etc . What exactly you will encounter in the manyatta cannot be indicated in advance as you will not follow a standardized program but will experience what is going on in the village at that moment. This way we experience the special Karamojong culture in a casual and authentic way!
- Karamoja by boda-boda : this is a great way to discover untamed Karamoja. You sit on the back of the boda boda ( motor bike ) drive and through the true wilderness of Uganda, where you enjoy the beautiful landscapes and interact with locals.
- Moutain Biking: Biking in the villages is fun to visit the villages and interact with the nomadic warriors and learn about the pastoral culture. You choose 2 activity
- Night at Karamoja safari camp, half-board
Day 9: To Sipi Falls
- Sipi falls is Sitting in the foothills of Mt Elgon and overlooking a vast plain, Sipi Falls is arguably the most beautiful chain of waterfalls in all of Uganda.
- On arrival, you will go for coffee tour at a nearby family farm. You will pick the coffee berries, to deshell and grind them with a traditional mortar, and roast them on an open fire, before the best part – finishing with a fine cup of strong Arabica coffee.

Day 10: Water falls Hike and back to Kampala
- After breakfast you meet a local guide and start off the hike to visit all the three Sipi waterfalls. You follow a trail that is 7 to 8km long that goes through the local communities and their farmlands of tea and banana plantations, which are the main crops grown in this area.
- On The entire hike will take from 3 to 4 hours, visiting the first waterfall from the top and descending down to the second and finally to the third at the end of the trail which is the biggest and main one. It is has a large whirlpool which you can dive in for a swim in the cold water.

Day 11: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
- You will travel through rural life today, from the green hills full of tea plantations and crater lakes to the dry savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park
- The Queen Elizabeth National Park of almost 2000 km lies in the Rift Valley and borders the Rwenzori Mountains to the north and Lake Edward to the west.
- Kazinga Channel, which flows through the park and connects Lake George in the east to Lake Edward in the west, attracts a rich array of animals and birds, including the infamous Nile crocodile and one of the world’s largest concentration of hippos.

Day 12 & 13: Morning Game Drive and a Boat Safari
- Another fasciniting game drive in the morning each day ; few reserves in the world have such a high biodiversity with landscapes including savannah, bushland, wetlands and lush forests.
- 1 Boat safari along the Kazinga Channel in the Afternoon : you will see a lot of hippos more than you can imagine as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see: Buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds.

Day 14: Saying goodbyes and Drive to Kampala
- Journey time: around 6 hours
- Along the way we will stop at the equator.
