Day 1 Arrival in Kinshasa
On arrival of your 17 Days Congo River Tour, We shall meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city. We can arrange a tour of Kinshasa for an extra fee, depending on your time of arrival in Dr Congo.
Day 2 Flight to Mbandaka
After breakfast in Kinshasa, we will transfer to the airport for our 8am flight to Mbandaka. This ninety-minute flight is a great opportunity to appreciate the scale of the wilderness we are soon to be exploring, with miles of the unexplored forest beneath us.

Day 3-7: 17 days Congo river tour
En Route to Lomako Reserve de Faune
The following 5 days of this 17 Days Congo River Tour will be full of adventure into the deep heart of Africa cruising on the Congo River and Maringa River, we will be traveling on a small boat and setting up our own camps each night beside the rivers or camping with the Batwa/ pygmies in the forest. This will give you absolute freedom and cultural immersion with the local tribes as you will have a rare chance to interact with them as they go for their daily life of fishing, hunting in the forests and gathering fruits something they have done for 1000s of years. Finally, we arriving in Lomako park headquarters

Day 8-11: 17 days Congo river tour
Lomako Reserve de Faune and Banobo Trekking
Banobo trekking. Banobos were (formerly known as the pygmy chimpanzee) are now recognized as a distinct species in their own right, they were initially thought to be a subspecies of chimpanzee and are endemic to Congo Basin. We will spend the next couple days on foot something that will allow us to get up close to the Banobos and not cause them stress. You will have a rare chance to observe them as they go about their groom each other, make nests, feeding on their favorite fruites and herbs and mating. You will also have a chance to see other rare species like Black Mangabey, Red River Hog, White-Bellied Pangolin, Bongo that are endemic to Congo, Leopard, Forest Elephant etc.

Day 12-15. En route to Mbandaka
We will make our way back slowly on canoes up to Mbandaka city.
