Safari Overview

The Swahili word ‘safari’ originated in Kenya when the first travelers went on expeditions into the wilderness of Kenya. The Great Rift Valley dominates the landscape of Central Kenya and during this trip you will visit both the drier north of Kenya and the lower and grassy south of Kenya. Through these diverse landscapes you will encounter a very diverse animal life. In addition to the different landscapes, you will also encounter several colorful tribes along the way, such as the Samburu, Turkana, Masai and the people of the Swahili coast . A journey through exotic Africa with lots of wildlife and beautiful people!

Day 1: Welcome to Kenya!

Your journey begins with a direct KLM flight from Amsterdam or Brussels to Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Upon arrival in the evening, your guide will be ready to greet you. After a brief introduction, you’ll head to your first accommodation in Nairobi. Enjoy a welcome drink while discussing tomorrow’s program. Karibu sana Kenya!

Day 2: Explore Samburu Game reserve

Start your day with breakfast and bird-watching in Nairobi. Travel to the Laikipea Plateau near Mount Kenya, followed by a journey to the Samburu National Reserve. Explore the reserve’s unique wildlife and encounter the vibrant Samburu tribes.

Day 3: Explore Samburu

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru

Day 6: Transfer to Masai Mara

Day 10: Transfer to Zanzibar

Days 11 to 13: Relax on the sandy beaches

Day 14: Depart for home

Arrive back in your country in the morning, carrying wonderful memories from your East African adventure.
