Safari Overview
This 3 Days Mikumi National Park Safari begins and concludes in Dar es Salaam. Mikumi is Tanzania’s most visited national park due to its proximity to Dar es Salaam. Mikumi is situated to the north of the Selous Game Reserve. Dar is only over 300 kilometers away. If you pick this schedule, you will have a lovely experience seeing the many creatures that are available after traveling a few kilometers from the city.
Mikumi National Park in Tanzania is the nearest wildlife safari area to both the capital of Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar Island. If you are in Zanzibar, we may organize a ferry trip to Dar es Salaam or a short flight based on your preferences and budget. This safari may be completed by staying at cheap / middle-class hotels or tented camps.
It is worth noting that the distance between Dar es Salaam and Mikumi National Park is long, with the drive taking between 5 and 6 hours depending on traffic as you leave Dar es Salaam, as well as the number of police checks along the way, which can take up a lot of your time. There appear to be far too many speed limit signs on the road, with 50 km/hr stretch being the most conspicuous. On this route, speed guns might slow you down.
