3 days Rwanda Double Gorilla Trekking Safari Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ruhengeri
Our safari guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or a location of your choice in Kigali City on the first day and welcome you to the land of 1000 hills. He will brief you on your stay in Rwanda, as well as the rules and regulations that must be followed for a safe and memorable gorilla trekking safari.
Following the briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel in Ruhengeri for a relaxing lunch. While in the park, you will also see a variety of primate species before arriving at gorilla families, which will provide you with incredible experiences during the activity, such as Golden monkeys. You will learn more about primates by observing their feeding patterns, grooming patterns, and so on. You will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight after gorilla trekking.
Day 3: 2nd Gorilla trek
On the third day of your 3 Rwanda Double Gorilla Trekking Safari, you will return to the same location where you met other trekkers the previous days for a pre-gorilla trekking briefing.
Following the briefing, hire a porter once more and be led into the wilderness of Volcanoes National Park to search for the designated habituated gorilla family. Spend another hour with the gorillas before returning to the lodge for lunch.
If time allows, you will have a Kigali city tour after lunch, where you will visit the Kigali Genocide memorial museum to learn more about the Rwanda genocide, as well as the Kimironko market, Rwanda’s largest market. You will then be transferred to Kigali International Airport or a location of your choice in the city.
