4 Days Sipi Falls Safari with Jinja Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Jinja for an excursion and boat ride to the source of the Nile
After breakfast at your residence/place of stay, you will meet your dedicated guide and they will brief you about the safari you are about to undertake. Later, they will drive you to Jinja, where you will have a stop at Ssezibwa Falls for scenic views plus photography. After the short break, continue to Jinja town and later grab some lunch before taking a boat ride to the Nile’s source. You will also be able to visit the craft shops, the riverside community, all engraved in the Jinja Town tour later in the day. Head to the pre booked lodge in Jinja for dinner and overnight stay. Freshen up for the next day’s drive to Sipi Falls.
Day 2: Drive to Sipi falls and community encounter
After an early breakfast in Jinja, you depart for Sipi Falls. The drive from Jinja isn’t that long and surely, you will arrive in Sipi in time for lunch. Check in the reserved lodge, have lunch and after lunch, you will go on a community tour, which is an incredible experience.
This walking tour will help you well understand the communities around the region in full detail. You will later spend the night listening to the amazing sound of the falls, and the next day you will still wake up to the breath-taking scenery of the Sipi waterfalls.
Day 3: Hike to the Sipi falls and Coffee tour
You will begin your major hike to the falls after breakfast. The Sipi Falls are made up of three different waterfalls, each of which flows from a different altitude. The highest fall drops from an altitude of 100m and is referred to as the main fall because it is the last fall in the series; this fall is slightly larger than the other two falls, but they all provide beautiful scenery in Uganda.
In fact, most people consider Sipi Falls to be the “most romantic falls” in Uganda, as evidenced by the magnificent falls. This is where the majority of hikes to Mt. Elgon begin. Hiking up to these falls provides a breath taking view of Lake Kyoga, the Karamoja lowlands, coffee plantations, and other nearby areas.
Abseiling the main Sipi Falls is an amazing activity you can chose to do while at the top of the falls. This activity is unquestionably recommended for thrill seekers. Standing on the highest Sipi waterfall, you will receive a briefing on the abseiling. You will don your abseiling equipment and proceed to the drop-edge. This is when the adrenaline starts pumping.
Slowly lowering your body off the cliff and beginning the slow descent to the waterfall’s base. You will have plenty of time to take in the breathtaking scenery and have an unforgettable experience. The instructors will ensure your safety and will photograph and videotape your experience upon request. This activity goes well with a hike to the three Sipi waterfalls. Return to the lodge to relax and dinner as you await the transfer back to kampala.
Day 4: Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala to end the trip
This is the last day of your 4 Days Sipi Falls Safari with Jinja Tour. After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the Hotel and drive back to Entebbe/Kampala to end the trip.
