Awake to the symphony of nature and enjoy an early breakfast before venturing into the Kasenyi plains for a thrilling morning game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for Cape buffalos, elephants, lions, and elusive leopards. After a restful lunch back at Irungu Forest Safari Lodge, brace yourself for a magical 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a myriad of birds await your gaze. An optional late afternoon game drive adds the perfect touch to this day of discovery.
Day 3: Lions in the Trees of Ishasha Queen Elizabeth NP
Following a healthy breakfast, we set forth to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. The suspense builds as we aim for a 60-70% chance of spotting these majestic creatures in the treetops. Our journey continues to the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where we’ll check into the Broadbill Forest Camp and prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking experience. For those seeking an extra thrill, an optional chimp tracking expedition in Kyambura Gorge awaits.
