You will pass by local villages and probably run into other tourists. The scenery and the views are very impressive! Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park but few who make the long journey north through the wild frontier region of Karamoja would agree that it is also the most magnificent, Kidepo ranks among Africa’s wilderness parks. From Apoka in the heart of the park, a savannah landscape extends far beyond the gazetted area, towards horizons outlined by distant mountain ranges. We arrive early evening and check-in at our lodge for dinner and overnight at:
Apoka Bandas (budget accommodation)
Kidepo Savanah Lodge (Midrange accommodation)
Meal plan (FB)

We will have breakfast early and go for a morning game drive along the trails of Kidepo valley. The park inhabits one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan park, with over 80 species of mammals. Several of which are endemic to Kidepo national parks like the cheetah, the striped hyena the caracal and over 460 bird species including ostriches. We will return back to our lodge for lunch and we will later go for the sunset game drive in the park. We can choose to carry cooking equipment and cook for ourselves in the park.

Help to bring the cows to the kraal, share stories at the campfire and play local games with the warriors and learn how everything about nomadic life. Karamoja has a cattle culture and the Karamojong are notorious as cattle raiders.
