Safari Overview
Our 7 Day Primate and wildlife tour will take you the best safari destinations in Uganda. You will do a wildlife safari on the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park and meet face to face with the chimpanzees in Budongo forest and mountain gorilla trekking in the mist of Bwindi Forest.
Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Budongo Forest Reserve - Chimp Tracking
Start your adventure at Entebbe Airport (before 2 pm) or your hotel, where your English-speaking guide will pick you up. Travel to Budongo Forest Reserve, with an optional detour to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking (extra cost). Check into Budongo Eco Lodge (Budget Level), surrounded by lush forest. Enjoy lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Chimp Tracking and Murchison Falls NP
After breakfast, embark on chimp tracking in Budongo Forest. Later, head to Murchison Falls NP, visiting the top of the falls if desired. Check into Fort Murchison Lodge (Budget Level).
Day 3: Murchison Exploration - Game Drives
A full day of game drives in Murchison Falls NP, encountering buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, and more. Optional boat trip to the falls and hike (extra cost).
Day 4: Kibale Forest NP - Exploring Wildlife
Leave Murchison and transfer to Kibale Forest NP. Enjoy the scenic drive through villages and tea plantations. Check into Chimpanzee Forest Lodge (Budget Level).
Day 5: Bigodi Wetlands and Transfer to Bwindi NP
Explore Bigodi Wetlands in the morning. Afterward, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through Mbarara. Check into Broadbill Forest Camp (Budget Level).
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Embark on the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure after breakfast. Spend an unforgettable hour with the gorillas. Return for rest or opt for a community visit or nature walk (extra cost).
Day 7: Transfer to Kigali, Rwanda or Entebbe
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out, and drive back to Kampala. Optionally, for a fee of 150$, transfer to Kigali, Rwanda, for your connecting flight home or go back to Entebbe.
