This 10 days Uganda gorillas and Rwenzori hike will take place in Bwindi national park and also Queen Elizabeth national park and end with a hike on Mount Rwenzori and the tour will end with drop off in Kampala.
You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe and your guide will welcome you for the safari. You will start the drive to Bwindi national park on this day with a stop at the equator and you will also have lunch enroute and continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at the lodge you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park. You will start the trek into Bwindi forest to search for the gorillas which you will spend 1 hour with. You will also take part in a batwa cultural tour and interact with the locals and get to know their culture and way of life. After this batwa tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
You will start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National park after breakfast in Bwindi. You will be driven through the ishasha sector which is home to tree climbing lions in the national park. You will engage in a short game drive in the national park and later drive to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
From Queen Elizabeth national park, you will drive to Nyakalengija camp to start the Rwenzori hike. On this day you will hike from Nyakalengija camp to Nyabitaba camp which will take about 6 to 7 hours and the night will be spent at Nyabitaba camp.
Your hike will start from Nyabitaba camp to John Matte camp for about 7 to 8 hours through forest, Kurt Shafer bridge, moss covered rock and giant lobelia and also enjoy views of Mount Stanley and Mount Speke. The night will be spent at John Matte camp.
After breakfast at John Matte camp you will hike for about 4 to 5 hours to Bujuku camp and follow the trail along the Bujuku river, into the lower bog, see giant lobelias, to the upper bog and to Lake Bujuku then also see Mount Baker and Mount Stanley and acclimatize at Bujuku camp.
From Bujuku camp, you will hike to Kitandara camp for about 5 to 6 hours through bog and steep slopes and continue to Elena camp and view Lake Bujuku and Mount Speke then hike through the alpine zone and see the Kitandara lakes and spend the night at Kitandara camp.
After having breakfast at Kitandara camp you will hike to Guy Yeoman camp for about 6 to 7 hours following a trail and view Mount Baker and Mount Stanley and also hike through the alpine zone and steep rocks and the night will be spent at Guy Yeoman camp.
Your hike will start from Guy Yeoman camp to Nyakalengija camp for about 7 to 8 hours via the Nyabitaba camp and hike through Kichuchu and pass the Mubuku river and bamboo forest. from Nyakalengija camp you will be driven to a hotel in Kasese where you will spend the night.
On the last day of the tour, you will be driven from the hotel in Kasese to Kampala where your guide will drop you off which will bring the 10 Days Uganda Gorillas and Rwenzori hike safari to an end.
