East African Tourist Visa
The East African Tourist Visa is a multiple-entry visa valid for 90 days, It was launched in June 2016 after an agreement was reached by Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. Tourists from other countries who hold this visa can visit any of these countries with the same visa, regardless of which country issued it. It can be obtained at the respective embassies of each country or online. The cost of the visa is US$100 per person.
This East African Tourist Visa is available to citizens of all countries, and can be obtained from the respective immigration offices in Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. The East African Tourist Visa allows for multiple entries into the three countries for up to 90 days. To apply for the East African Tourist Visa, travelers must provide a valid passport, two passport-sized photos, a completed application form, and the applicable visa fee. Depending on the country of origin, travelers may also be required to provide additional documents, such as proof of sufficient funds, a letter of invitation, or a return ticket.
The East African Tourist Visa can be obtained in person only at the airport in Kigali Rwanda or any boarder point of Rwanda, by mail, or online. Processing times vary, but generally take between three and five working days. Please note that its not possible to get the East African Visa on Arrival in Uganda and in Kenya. At the moment , Tanzania is not part of the East African tourist visa agreement because it has not yet signed it for fear from Kenya.
