6 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On arrival at the airport, our company tour guide will welcome you and later transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park which is found in the Northwestern part of Uganda. On your way to Murchison, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking and later go for lunch is a local restaurant. After the delicious meal, you shall proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will be taken to the lodge, for dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day in the Murchison Falls National Park

After a cup of coffee in the morning, you shall be transferred to the northern side of Murchison Falls National Park where you shall encounter a game drive in this adventurous savannah park. This Game drive rewards you with plenty of scenery like the wild animals which include the Lions, Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, Rothschild’s Giraffe, Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Hyena if favored, you might end up seeing the Leopard, and many more. Murchison falls National Park has plenty of birds that you wouldn’t want to miss on this tour.

6 Days Uganda Wildlife SafariLater after the game drive, you shall head back to the lodge for a late breakfast and later a delicious meal. After lunch, you shall be transferred to the fresh waters of the calm Victoria Nile found on the foot of the falls for the afternoon boat cruise. A boat cruise will reward you with plenty of scenery like the water animals that include crocodiles, hippos, and a few others, and water birds which include the Goliath Heron, Egyptian Goose, Pelican Bee-Eater, Kingfisher, and many more.

This rewards you with an atmospheric view of Murchison Falls National Park whereby you get to see many wildlife species. The hot air balloon was designed to fly over a tree which gives a closer look at the beauty of Murchison Falls National Park. This is quite an amazing experience that lasts for over 4 hours a route in this hot air balloon.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After morning breakfast, you shall be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park using the southern route along Hoima to Fort Portal City, the city rests in the shadow of Mountain Rwenzori. You shall have a lunch stopover in a local restaurant in Fort Portal city, and later you shall proceed with the journey. On your way to Kibale, you will be rewarded with beautiful sceneries of the Mountain of the moon (Mt Rwenzori). On arrival at the lodge, you shall check in, later dinner will be served, and shall spend the night at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast, you shall be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing on how to conduct yourself while in the forest with the chimpanzee. Later you shall be given a park ranger who will be guiding you through the chimp trekking session. This usually takes over 3 hours per session and as soon as you find the chimps, you spend no more than an hour around them.

After the trekking, you shall go back to the lodge for check out for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You shall have a lunch stopover in a nice local restaurant along the way. On arrival at the Park lodge, you shall check in, and later you shall have dinner and a midnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast, you shall be transferred to the center of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive. The game drive rewards you with plenty of beautiful sceneries including the animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, Lions, Waterbucks, and a number of birds.

After the game drive, you shall head back to the lodge for a delicious meal while getting ready for the afternoon boat cruise. This afternoon boat cruise will be conducted on the fresh waters of Kazinga Channel where you will be delighted to see plenty of water animals and water birds along the shores. Later transfer back to the lodge for dinner and a midnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast, you shall check out from the lodge for transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for departure. On your way back to Kampala, you shall have a stopover at the equator for pictures, pass by a craft shop to buy souvenirs, and later you shall have a delicious meal in a local restaurant along Masaka road. After Lunch, you shall proceed with the journey.
