8 Days Wildlife and Adventure Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Jinja, then to Mbale

After breakfast at your residence, our guide will pick you up from your home or hotel and drive you to the eastern part of Uganda via Jinja for our 8-day safari across Uganda. Sezibwa Falls, one of Uganda’s cultural treasures, will be a stopover. The location provides a stunning view of water falls marked by sharp-edged rocks, creating a soothing sound of water flowing.

We continue to the Nile’s source, which marks the beginning of Africa’s longest river, and enjoy a boat cruise across the Nile before heading to Jinja town for lunch. From there, we head to Mali, where we can enjoy the peace and beauty of green fields or rice and banana plantations. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 2: Continue to survey Mt. Elgon Park – Siipi Falls

On this day of your 8 Days Wildlife and Adventure Safari, you can choose between hiking to Sipi Waterfalls, nature walks, birding, rock climbing, sport fishing, mountain biking, or cultural encounters where you will learn where your coffee comes from. Bagisu farmers have a reputation for producing some of the finest washed Arabica in Kenya and Uganda. In the wilderness, a picnic lunch will be served. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park and Meeting with Karamajong People

On this day of your 8 Days Wildlife and Adventure Safari, enjoy an early breakfast and we set out for Kidepo Valley National Park, a dry, hot, isolated, yet spectacular and virgin wilderness park waiting to be discovered. Enjoy the remote wilderness dominated by Mount Morungole (2,750m). We have a cultural encounter with the Karamojong people at Karenga and Kidepo before entering the park and learn about their lifestyles, cultures, dressing style, dancing, and tools used. Continue to the park while taking an evening game drive through the park. Dinner and lodging at the lodge.

Day 4: Full-Day Park Exploration, Morning and Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, we head to the Natabba gate area to see cheetahs, ostriches, and other lower grassland mammals. The landscape through Kidepo is dotted with small hills and rocky outcrops, and the Narus valley has a permanent water source where the park’s wildlife congregates for much of the year. After that, return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on an evening game drive across the Narus River in search of animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Jackson’s hartebeests, among others. Day 5: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park via Kitgum, with a lunch stop in Gulu town en route. We arrive in Murchison Falls National Park late in the afternoon, check in, unwind and relax at the lodge after a long journey. Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Game Drive & Boat Launch Trip

Set off for a game drive in the park early in the morning after breakfast. We continue browsing through the Buligi peninsula, which is the prime game viewing area, all the way through to the delta point where the Nile flows north out of Lake Albert on the broad savannah in search of big cats, elephants, and buffalos, among others.

After that, return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a boat launch trip to the bottom of the falls in the afternoon. Along the way, this is the best time to see water and land mammals such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. After that, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Game Drive in the Morning & Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, go on another game drive to see what you missed the day before, including the Big Five, elephants, and a plethora of birds and trees, such as the sausage tree, which animals adore. After that, check out and head to Ziwa rhino sanctuary, where you can see rhinos in their natural habitat. Dinner and lodging at the lodge.

Rhino Tracking & Transfer to Kampala Day 8

This is the last day of your 8 Days Wildlife and Adventure Safari. Following breakfast, you will go rhino tracking on foot. Keep an eye out for white rhinos; you’ll have the chance to track these endangered magnificent massive creatures in their natural habitat. After that, return to the lodge and prepare for the long journey back to Kampala with fond memories of this incredible 8 Days Wildlife and Adventure Safari.
