This 7 days Rwenzori hike and wildlife safari will start in Kampala and during the tour you will engage in a safari in Queen Elizabeth national park and take part in a game drive and boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and also take part in a hike on Mount Rwenzori for four days before returning to Kampala.
You will be picked up from Kampala and your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will engage in an evening game drive and search for wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, antelopes and many others. After the game drive you will be driven to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After having breakfast early at the lodge, you will engage in a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park to search for wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, waterbucks, impalas, topi, warthogs and many others. And in the afternoon, you will go to the Kazinga channel for a boat ride and enjoy seeing elephants, hippos and buffalos and various birds by the lake shore. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You will be driven from the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park early in the morning to Nyakalengija to start the hike on Mount Rwenzori. You will hike to Nyabitaba camp which will take about 6 to 7 hours. You will spend the night at Nyabitaba camp.
You will hike from Nyabitaba camp to John Matte camp for about 7 to 8 hours through forest, view Mount Stanley and Mount Speke and spend the night at John Matte camp.
After breakfast at John Matte camp, you will start the hike to Bujuku camp which takes about 4 to 5 hours. You will enjoy views of the lake during the hike and also see Mount Stanley and Mount Baker and return to John Matte camp where you will spend the night.
From John Matte camp, you will hike to Nyabitaba camp for about 5 to 6 hours and have a lunch break after which you will hike for 3 to 4 hours back to Nyakalengija where you will meet the guide and drive to Kasese where you will spend the night.
After breakfast at the hotel in Kasese, you will be driven to Kampala with a stop for lunch enroute and you will be dropped off in Kampala which will bring the tour to an end.
