The decision of where to go on a Safari can be a tricky one, especially if you’re looking for luxury safaris or budget safaris in Africa. A safari is a Swahili word meaning “journey” from Africa. The East African safari countries Kenya and Tanzania are the world’s largest wildlife migrations, where millions of wildlife trek across the continent every year, creating the largest animal concentration in Africa. Kiswahili is a dialect primarily spoken in these countries. Classic African safari game drives offer the best views of African wilderness, with wildlife that adapts to its ever-changing environment with the annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti ecosystem and the Maasai Mara National Park for Tanzania safaris and Kenya tours respectively.

Among the top destinations for primate tracking in Uganda and Rwanda are Bwindi Forest and Virunga Mountains. In the two countries, chimpanzee tracking is a popular activity, with the best destinations being Kibale National Park and Virunga National Park. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, mountain gorilla tracking can also take place within Virunga National Park. There is a lot to experience in Kenya Whether you are on safari in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve where the wildebeest migrate from Tanzania to Kenya, you will enjoy authentic cultures and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

A concentration of wildlife meanders within the soaring walls of the massive Serengeti plains in Tanzania, which are one of the world’s natural wonders. A crater like Ngorongoro crater is a great place to see wildlife meander within its walls. Millions of wildebeests, zebras, and Grants gazelles migrate across the rivers in spectacular fashion.
